Well, I've never had a blog before, but I guess this is a good time to start one. I always say how I take pictures of everything because I have no memory and no other way to remember things, so I guess this is the next step in me trying to remember all the fun little details in my life. Although I'm treating this as a personal online diary, hopefully other people will enjoy it as well.
So here we are, about a week and a half away from the big move. Pretty much the only stuff packed is the stuff that never got unpacked from when I moved back home in December. That and my winter clothing, because when we had 2 weeks straight of 100 degree weather I figured I'd never need jeans or a t-shirt again before I moved. Then it started to rain... So everyone who was hoping for rain, you're welcome. I'm pretty sure that by packing away all the clothing I could have needed in normal temperatures I managed to bring them back. But that's just how my life works.
I have been relentlessly researching everything we could possibly do on this cross country trip. It's really the only way I can distract myself from what I'm really about to do. Some places are booked, some places we might end up sleeping on the side of the street - but that's half the fun of driving cross country, right? More importantly, I had read about all the weird roadside things you could think of. Don't know how many we'll actually stop at, but oh well. Hopefully it will all payoff when we finally hit the road.
So until then I will just keep enjoying my life here.. watching my great TV shows, working my butt off.. you know. No, actually I have a few things planned so I can spend time with my incredible friends before I'm on the other side of the country. I am very excited for this last week and a half, but also extremely nervous about it at the same time. My friends don't usually see me cry, but I think we all know that they will get to these next few days.
